Risa - laughter
I swim with
each current
The water always
a closed arm away
Unknown monsters
Beautiful beasts
Dive below me
A soft tentacle
Embraces my leg
I breathe deeply
the salty wind
Feel stinging water
Heal each wound
My laughter molds
Into breaking waves
Poseidon's princess
A warrior and Goddess
He carried me,
A surprise when I was born
Near that high tide
To my mother's womb
Washed ashore into this world
So I could take my trident heart
And pierce a dry world
With the mystery and power
Only laughter and the ocean
Can bring.
