Forever is love left to whittle away
Silencing feelings with beauty to say
Starting a fire just to leave it that way
A silent clock compressing tears
Warping seconds into months and years
Burying, ignoring your greatest fears
To wait for what whom or why
Many clouds have traversed the sky
Caught in the wind of a lonely sigh
It’s true, one day we all shall die
Breath and love are one in the same
A flower indeed should never be tame
Muffling cries would be a shame
Interpretive words begin to explore
Each window, each opening door
No matter what happened before
Do not hold back this beautiful day
Do not be afraid of what you must say
In the end, you’ll find, it’ll all be okay
