Patent pending to stop the gears
The truth in front of our eyes
Soon it'll be impossible to hide
From the ugliness of so many lies
How can we continue
To live in a shelter they create
No metaphor of dark and light
Can justify our fate
Now is the time to quit saying
You know you know you know
If you actually processed what you knew
Your bullshitting would have nowhere to go
You say you have an idea
But you realize its painful to see
Well friend I congratulate you
On living ignorantly
The truth in front of our eyes
Soon it'll be impossible to hide
From the ugliness of so many lies
How can we continue
To live in a shelter they create
No metaphor of dark and light
Can justify our fate
Now is the time to quit saying
You know you know you know
If you actually processed what you knew
Your bullshitting would have nowhere to go
You say you have an idea
But you realize its painful to see
Well friend I congratulate you
On living ignorantly
-
Water your ignorance
Nurture your hate
Let sprout your superiority
The light shines bright
On your glass eyes
How long can you hide
From all these lies
You tell yourself
So that you can sleep
Hide your face
I can still see you weep
You eat the poison
Of the pain your reap
Live like an asshole
Scowl my way
Hate like you mean it
In time you'll pay
For the sins you create
-
Bodies building outside your door
Wingless souls
Mountains of carcasses
The smoke of the innocent
Rises to the skies
It clogs your eyes
Can't see through the disguise
Of your friendly neighbor
Long white buildings
Stuffed full of exhausted faces
Fearful, apathetic
The occasional fight
For freedom
The daily massacres
Of mothers and brothers
No name - only a number
Regarded simply as animals
Forgetting we are too
Another discrimination
Made voiceless by a societies' lies
They give up because
There is no hope in their eyes
It's no one's fault and everyone's fault
The tyrant does have a face
It sounds like another history lesson
But it's on your dinner plate
Wingless souls
Mountains of carcasses
The smoke of the innocent
Rises to the skies
It clogs your eyes
Can't see through the disguise
Of your friendly neighbor
Long white buildings
Stuffed full of exhausted faces
Fearful, apathetic
The occasional fight
For freedom
The daily massacres
Of mothers and brothers
No name - only a number
Regarded simply as animals
Forgetting we are too
Another discrimination
Made voiceless by a societies' lies
They give up because
There is no hope in their eyes
It's no one's fault and everyone's fault
The tyrant does have a face
It sounds like another history lesson
But it's on your dinner plate
-
Imagine this:
Long white buildings -
Chocked far past capacity
With rows of defeated faces
Fight then fear then nothing
Praying they'll make it
Through another day
Deforming in their own feces
Sometimes praying
They'll just die
Watching their friends
Be beaten away
Knowing it's only a matter
Of time
Only a number
Can't remember any name
A few miles away
Are friendly faces
Normal neighborhoods
They learn to adapt
To the smell of blood
Happily ignorant
To what's behind the high walls
No one is to blame
And everyone is to blame
Sound familiar?
History class taught you well.
But no lesson has been learned.
Because the story's only end
Is your dinner plate.
What low must be reached,
For people to finally see?
