I love you.
Hey, all-American man arty-clogged and ignorance-clogged
Loading on those chili-cheese fries with extra
Death I love you yeah I love you
You’re eating me but I love you
Have you been to the Holocaust museum in D.C.?
At the end they give you a card
It has the picture of a Holocaust victim on it
And it explains their life story
At the end it says whether or not they lived
And it’s very emotional and very personal
So now I wonder if you perhaps should be given
A card at every one of your meals
With a picture of the animal you just ate
A long life story of how they were born at
Such and such farm, taken from their mothers at such and such age
Strapped down, tied together, forced to produce
Milk or babies or just forced to lay there until
They collapse from pure exhaustion and so dragged to slaughter
And trampled in the van on the way of course
The bold did not kill and of course they dangled from the hoof
And bled from the neck struggling the whole way probably
Screaming and fighting with whatever strength they could
But you don’t want to hear that, do you?
That would indeed spoil your dinner, perhaps just
Turn your head and eyes and ears once more?
There would be no happy card in the deck
At the end it would say: DEATH
Always.
Hey, Mr. all-American man with your traditions
And steaks extra red and fried chicken wings
Why don’t you start thinking about the life you
Take when you eat what you do
Meat is murder and that blood is on your hands.

How can I look at you the same again?
How can I see you and respect and love you lord
I love you I do I promise I’m trying I’m really
Trying but how can I keep this up when I know what
You willingly participate in? How did the Nazi mothers
Love their sons and daughters knowing what they were
Doing knowing that they were in the wrong and that
One day the world would see what they were doing
And despise them and how did they love surely
They still loved and I pity you but I’m also disgusted and
How can I love you knowing this? How can I?
Show me, show me your humanity and soul and heart
And loving me is not enough and loving yourself
Is not enough and loving your human race is not enough
And what is enough but loving everyone why pick one
Why pick humans when they are evil and animals are
Innocent and have started no wars caused no wars
They have dropped no bombs created no corrupt religions
They have only existed and been at the mercy of humans
And can’t you see what I’m getting at? Why are you
Doing this? WHY?! Because they TASTE good?!
I’m sure humans taste good, but you know they must have
Had a name and feelings and I guess that makes it wrong
For you but WHY?! I can’t stop screaming WHY to the world
And I keep thinking I can do something but the
Stubborn ignorance is painful and I suddenly wish there
Was an island where we could go where there was peace and
No more murder and of course we would sink to the bottom
Of the ocean because the rest of the world would stomp on us
Because they couldn’t tell the difference between us and our
Brothers and sisters the cow and pig and chicken and fish and
We would be like Atlantis a soft whisper on the winds of change
That slowly smooth out the boulders of human kind but of course
I only have one question: WHY?! You know no answer will do
Except that you don’t know because lets face it you’re a murderer
And you support this murder and holocaust and lets be blunt here
It’s time to change and stop kidding yourself okay really though
This is bullshit and stop killing everyone that is innocent and start
Realizing you need to face your guilt and move on and become
A better person better species better life better world
