So here is what it has come to
Finally seeing the sky before me
I’d like to confess a sad token
That eroded away all that darkened
My eyes into a blur of happiness
He had the power of something other
Than anything I’ve ever known
I had the innocent blur of wonder
And kept going further and further under
Until he struck me with words
And actions and thoughts and little
Nips here and there at the heals of a
Well-thought production
How many people in the world
Are a product of emotional abuse?
I don’t know, I’m sure it’d blow me away
I wish I had the answers for these
Questions and all the other ones
Like how could someone be so intertwined
With their evil and seductive past
That it would take the power of love
At the cost of a heart to see
I’m not sure the answer
But that heart was me
Finally seeing the sky before me
I’d like to confess a sad token
That eroded away all that darkened
My eyes into a blur of happiness
He had the power of something other
Than anything I’ve ever known
I had the innocent blur of wonder
And kept going further and further under
Until he struck me with words
And actions and thoughts and little
Nips here and there at the heals of a
Well-thought production
How many people in the world
Are a product of emotional abuse?
I don’t know, I’m sure it’d blow me away
I wish I had the answers for these
Questions and all the other ones
Like how could someone be so intertwined
With their evil and seductive past
That it would take the power of love
At the cost of a heart to see
I’m not sure the answer
But that heart was me
I knew a boy who broke my heart
It’s not his fault, he played his part
In shaping who I am today
Created from a heart’s decay
Never knew that love could produce
Such a great deal of emotional abuse
But it couldn’t last
Now it’s past
I’m so thankful I’m now free
Open to every possibility
That comes my way
He has no say!
Yay!
It’s not his fault, he played his part
In shaping who I am today
Created from a heart’s decay
Never knew that love could produce
Such a great deal of emotional abuse
But it couldn’t last
Now it’s past
I’m so thankful I’m now free
Open to every possibility
That comes my way
He has no say!
Yay!
