Metaphors and symbolism caught in the flee
Billions of people writing beautifully
Diction, rhyming, prose and more!
What is it, that we write for?
I could describe my thoughts as passing birds
Madness, sadness – all common words
For what do we write but to attempt to release
Find some serenity, find some peace
When my mind can rest, my thoughts can slow
I think of new poetry – it’s all I know!
It appears as though this will never conclude
But if my writing has taught me anything –
It depends on my mood!
The war once waged has come to past
Leaves fall down but they do not last
Forgiveness plagues my every thought
These are different days
Not the ones I fought
Magic encompasses all that I see
It surrounds you – it surrounds me
But sometimes a glow catches my stare
A light that is different
It raises my hair
I see in him such a beautiful soul
He enters the room - I feel his pull
I see his smile when I close my eyes
Maybe we’ll love
Until our goodbyes
Leaves fall down but they do not last
Forgiveness plagues my every thought
These are different days
Not the ones I fought
Magic encompasses all that I see
It surrounds you – it surrounds me
But sometimes a glow catches my stare
A light that is different
It raises my hair
I see in him such a beautiful soul
He enters the room - I feel his pull
I see his smile when I close my eyes
Maybe we’ll love
Until our goodbyes
