Livin’ in a world full of disaster
People bowing to their master
Born from the same bland plaster
And I’m just in my fairy tale land

You had it rough from the start
Your rocky life made you smart
Hold it against me till we part
And I’m just in my fairy tale land

You think you showed me what is real
As if my life before was a joke
It’s not my fault I was lucky
It’s not my fault my parents are wonderful
It’s not my fault, but I see what you say
It kills me, what am I supposed to do?!
Why is your world real and not mine?

I find myself wishing I was born into strife
Would I, too, have become fond of the knife?
How could I want that kind of life?!

I’m just in my fairy tale place
The one you never could face
We all go at are own pace
Why is one right in this case?

My happiness is as real as your sadness
To desire your world would be madness
And now I leave you with gladness
If I do, indeed, live in a fairy land
Then this is where I make my stand
