Child be not afraid of ghouls in the night
Monsters care not for the absence of light
-
My greatest downfall
Was watching him
Take my heart
And pound it in the ground
With an angry fist
He said so much
How can I forget?
Those angry words
(And why would I want to?)
-
I do it all for him
Writing with a highlighter
In a bar parking lot
Lord that boy is angry
I have to hold on to these feelings
It’s not hard
To realize he loves me
To realize I can never let him go
And I feel so sick
It’s only the start
But lord look what we have
We’re tired together
Torn together
I miss the simple times
The ones we never had
But not the numb ones
I can’t imagine myself without him
I don’t want to
But it doesn’t matter
Because whatever happens
He’s there
With me
That boy has me
No matter what
-
Beautiful places, beautiful faces
Everywhere I go I see the rain
In the eyes of our youth
And the reflecting angst
Of those tired of this never ending
Breath taking thing
Called life
-
Take a road and braid it into your hair
Watch the people with no places to go
Start a bonfire of metallic carcasses
And fireworks crying gasoline tears
The animals begin to talk again
In a language we all understand
And roses stroll on by
Remembering to the smell of humans
Everyone sits at the sunset on a hill
Cheering on the spinning earth
Into another miraculous day
Monsters care not for the absence of light
-
My greatest downfall
